ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported on NFL Countdown that the Titans made running back Derrick Henry available at the trade deadline Malcolm Butler Jersey , but did not find a team willing to match their price. This is obviously interesting news as it comes on the heels of Dion Lewis’ best game of the season and the addition of fullback Jalston Fowler to the roster. Lewis’ emergence in the Patriots backfield in 2017 coincided with a move towards more 21 personnel with fullback James Develin leading the way. Fowler’s addition and this news that the Titans were open to moving Henry certainly seems to suggest a move towards Lewis as the focal point of the backfield moving forward. Henry has struggled to find traction in the new offense under Matt LaFleur, rushing for just 273 yards on 84 carries (3.3 yards per carry), and will be heading in to the final year of his rookie contract in 2019. The Titans may continue to look to move Henry this offseason if things don’t pick up for the big back in the second half of the season. Well yesterday they got their slot guy in Adam Humphries Taylor Lewan Jersey , and they got him for a very reasonable price. There were reports over the last couple of weeks that Humphries was going to get $12-14 million per year. That obviously didn’t happen.Humphries is going to be a reliable target for Marcus Mariota in 2019. That sounds like a simple statement, but Mariota has been short on reliable targets over the last couple of years- especially last year with Delanie Walker hurt and Rishard Matthews quitting. It cannot be overstated how important it is to have a guy that is dependable both in route running and catching the football. As for projections, Mike Clay of ESPN is projecting stats for all of the free agents from a fantasy perspective. Here is part of what he had to say about Humphries:He projects Humphries for a 64/687/3 line with the Titans. What say you?
